An S7-300 runs the two networks in the screenshot every 100100 ms. Start (I 0.0) is pressed at t=1.0t = 1.0 s and let go at 1.51.5 s; Stop (I 0.1, a normally closed button) is pressed at 8.08.0 s. Fill in conveyor 1 (Q 4.0), the TON's elapsed time ET (MD 20) and conveyor 2 (Q 4.1) after the scan at each time.

  • Start on I 0.0, Stop on I 0.1 (normally closed: 11 until pressed)
  • the TON in DB 1, PT =5= 5 s, ET in MD 20

Network 1 latches conveyor 1

Start closes its contact at 1.01.0 s and Q 4.0 comes on; from the next scan its own contact Q 4.0 holds the rung, so letting Start go changes nothing. Stop reads 11 until it is pressed: its NO contact opens only at 8.08.0 s.

Press Start and Stop, then run time on. A rung carrying power is inked, the TON's gauge fills as ET counts up to PT, and the timing chart measures the delay from Q 4.0 to Q 4.1.
